How a frame is made
Every frame goes through five stages before it is packed.
01
Mount design
For the chosen LEGO set we design a mount matched to its shape and support points.
02
3D printing
We print the mount using 3D printing, taking care over strength and dimensional accuracy.

Drilling and assembly
We prepare holes in the aluminium frame and seat the printed mount in them — the model hangs on the frame, without any modification to the set itself.
04
Finishing
The frame gets a matte black finish, and a poster designed by us goes inside — a 255gsm satin print.
05
Inspection and packing
We check that the model is mounted securely and prepare the frame for safe shipping.
What the frame is made of
The four elements that physically make up every Absolu Frames frame.
Frame — aluminium, matte black
The base is an aluminium frame with a matte black finish, adapted to the format and mounting of the model.
Mount — 3D printed
Designed individually for the model, 3D printed and attached to the frame through prepared holes.
Artwork — 255gsm satin print
The background poster is artwork designed by us, printed on 255gsm satin paper.
Front cover
A clear cover protects the poster and the model from dust without hiding the display.

Absolu Frames started with one simple problem: a finished LEGO Technic model too often ends up back in its box. We design frames that let you show it off — without gimmicks, in a form that suits your interior and not only a collector’s shelf.
Every frame combines a simple, matte aesthetic with a technical approach to mounting: a mount designed for a specific set, a precisely drilled frame and a finish that does not distract from the model itself.
